He runs Wilkinson Livestock alongside his son Nick, with deep roots in cattle feeding, farming, and ranching. He is now running for the open District 8 House seat in 2026.
Why they’re
Sensible
Todd Wilkinson's record speaks for itself: four decades of legal practice, twenty years as county prosecutor, and a term leading the most influential cattle industry organization in the country. As NCBA president he went to Washington to push back on federal overreach affecting South Dakota producers — a real-world test of the constitutional and property-rights principles Sensible South Dakota values. His goal of keeping the next generation building right here at home is not a slogan; it is the organizing principle of a life spent working in and for South Dakota.
