Why they’re
Sensible
Matt Roby hit the ground running in his first legislative term, sponsoring eight bills including campaign finance transparency reforms and technical education funding for Lake Area Technical College. His legal background as a former city attorney and assistant AG gives him a sharp eye for how statutes work in practice, and his Watertown roots mean he understands the district's needs from the inside. Roby's commitment to limited government, local control, and fiscal discipline aligns closely with Sensible South Dakota's core values.
